RoboGuard™ is an agile surveillance robot that travels on a monorail, constantly patrolling along a secured perimeter to ensure the integrity of the fence. It can promptly respond to a suspected intrusion detected by one of Senstar’s innovative perimeter intrusion detection system (PIDS) sensors. A complete system consists of autonomous robots, each covering up to 1 km (0.6 mi) and docking stations every 1 to 2 km (0.6 to 1.2 mi) that provide two adjacent robots with replacement batteries, spare battery recharging and Wi-Fi communication.
RoboGuard has two primary modes: routine patrol, in which the robot scans and searches for perimeter anomalies such as holes in the fence or suspicious objects, and response mode, in which the robot acts as first responder and rushes promptly to an intrusion alert.
RoboGuard never tires and is always vigilant. It is ideal for remotely monitored unmanned sites where a timely first response by manned guards would be impractical and/or cost prohibitive. RoboGuard can also cost-effectively augment guard forces on larger critical sites like airports, seaports and military bases where there may be insufficient resources to provide a timely response. It can also conduct regular inspections of the fence line which are essential to maintaining the integrity of the perimeter.
